About Mind Matters Therapy

A space to understand yourself more deeply.

Therapy isn’t about becoming someone else. It is about understanding the patterns, experiences, and emotions that shape your life—and uncovering what you truly need to feel whole, connected, and at peace.

A Different Kind of Therapy Space

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.

Therapy offers a rare invitation to slow down. It is a dedicated place to become genuinely curious about yourself, allowing us to explore together what lies beneath recurring emotions, relationship dynamics, fears, and familiar patterns.

Meet Your Therapist

Hi, I'm Morgan.

I believe that the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work is built on compassionate, non-judgmental care. My practice is grounded in the idea that our most difficult struggles deserve curiosity rather than criticism.

My approach to therapy focuses on understanding the whole person. Before we try to “fix” anything, we work together to create emotional safety. From there, we can look at the patterns holding you back, honoring how they may have protected you in the past, while exploring gentler ways forward.

My goal is not just to help you manage symptoms, but to support you in developing greater self-trust and feeling more deeply connected to who you genuinely are.

Warmly, Morgan

Morgan Cox, LPC

My Philosophy

Therapy should feel collaborative, human, and deeply personal.

01

Understand, not judge

Difficult patterns and responses often developed for a very good reason—usually as a way to survive or cope. We explore these behaviors with gentle curiosity rather than shame, making room for true understanding.

02

Go beneath the surface

We look beyond surface-level symptoms to understand your deeper emotional landscape. By exploring relational patterns and early experiences, we uncover the roots of present-day distress.

03

Create lasting change

Insight is powerful, but it is just the beginning. Our work aims to translate understanding into action—fostering healthier relationships, clearer boundaries, and a solid foundation of self-trust.

Our Work Together

A relationship built around safety, honesty, and curiosity.

Why “Mind Matters”?

The name is a reflection of a core belief: our internal world matters. For so many of us, it is easy to dismiss our own needs, ignore our feelings, or prioritize the comfort of others over our own wellbeing.

But patterns matter. Relationships matter. Emotions contain vital information about what we need and value.

When we finally turn our attention inward, we create the space necessary to make different choices. Mind Matters Therapy was founded on the principle that your mental and emotional wellbeing are inherently valuable, and they deserve focused attention and compassionate care.

You don’t have to understand everything before reaching out.

Beginning therapy can simply start with a conversation. We can talk about what has been feeling difficult, what you’re hoping might change, and whether working together feels right.
